Your detailed implant consultation
We'll start with a thorough examination of your teeth, gums and jawbone, including any necessary x-rays. Your dentist will talk through what you'd like to achieve, assess whether implants are the right option for you, and provide a clear written treatment plan.
Treatment planning and preparation
If implants are right for you, we'll plan everything in detail. For some patients, this includes additional treatment like a bone graft or sinus augmentation to make sure there's enough healthy bone to support the implant.
Implant placement
The implant itself is gently placed into your jawbone under local anaesthetic. Most patients are pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the procedure feels - it's usually less involved than they expected.
Healing and integration
Over the next 3-6 months, your implant will gradually bond with the surrounding bone in a process called osseointegration. During this time you'll wear a temporary tooth so you don't have a noticeable gap.
Fitting your new tooth

The total cost depends on how many teeth you're replacing and whether any preparatory treatment - such as a bone graft (from £600) or sinus augmentation (from £600) - is needed before placement.
