We'll start with a careful examination of your mouth and a relaxed conversation about what you're hoping to achieve. Your dentist will talk through the different types of denture available, recommend what would suit you best, and provide a clear written treatment plan.
Impressions and design
We'll take detailed impressions of your mouth so your dentures can be custom-made to fit comfortably. You'll have input into the shape, size and colour of the teeth so the final result looks just right for you.
Try-in appointment
Before your dentures are finalised, you'll have a try-in appointment with a wax version. This lets you see how they'll look and feel, and we can make adjustments before the final dentures are crafted.
Fitting your new dentures
At your fit appointment, we'll carefully fit your new dentures and check the bite, the comfort and the appearance. We'll show you how to put them in, take them out and look after them at home.
Follow-up and adjustments
It's completely normal for new dentures to need small adjustments in the first few weeks as you get used to them. We'll see you for a follow-up appointment and make any tweaks needed to ensure they're comfortable.
Aftercare and follow-up
We'll see you for follow-up appointments to check everything is settling well, and your hygienist will play an important role in keeping your implant healthy long-term.

How long do dentures last?
With good care, modern dentures typically last 5-10 years before they may need replacing or relining. Your mouth changes shape gradually over time as the jawbone naturally remodels, which can affect how your dentures fit. Regular check-ups help us spot any changes early.
Will my dentures feel uncomfortable at first?
